Time to be bold & submit your work
Submissions for Issue 5 of Strawberry Moon Magazine are now open!
This issue’s theme is self care–a topic that art journalers definitely can’t get enough of. I am looking forward to a deep dive on how artists use their art journalers in their self care practice.
If you’ve always thought about writing, I would love to work with you. I am accepting proposals for articles at this time–you don’t have to have a finished article yet, just tell me what you’d like to write about!
Are you thinking about an article idea, but it’s making you a bit queasy to consider sharing it with me? SUBMIT IT ANYWAY. Do it scared. I’ll be here to hold you hand through the whole process. I work with an amazing copyeditor and even though the rest of my coworkers are lazy cats, we’ll all work as a team to cheer you on.
I’m also accepting gallery submissions for the magazine. Artwork submitted does not have to be self-care themed, but it definitely can be! The gallery themes for this issue are:
- Junk journaling
- Minimalism
- Monoprinting
- Illustrate Your Life
(And of course, there is still The Atelier, our general, anything-goes, space for artwork that doesn’t fit the other galleries!)
For all of the details, including deadlines, compensation information, and the forms you need to fill out, visit the submissions page!
