Strawberry Moon June Art Challenge 2023
I shared the prompts for this year’s challenge a few days ago, but I wanted share more about the Art Journaling Marathon I have planned for June 21, 2023.
Daily Prompts
Before I get to the marathon, a quick reminder about the prompts: this is a daily-ISH challenge an dis meant to be FUN. Pick and choose or do them all, there is no pressure!
The prompt list is shared on Instagram. They are also shared here on the website with both a graphic and as a text list!
Marathon Information
What’s this about a marathon?? Technically, a marathon is a race of 26.2 miles. *MY* marathon is going to be creating 26 art journal spreads on June 21 and you are invited to a day-long zoom party to keep my company while I do that!
I’ll open up a Zoom room at 8:00am CDT on June 21 and we’ll stay open until at least 8pm (or longer if artists are in the mood!).
I’ll be hosting the first and last hours and we’ll have guest artists hosting an hour throughout the day. They’ll have prompts or demos that you can follow (or not). You are welcome to join and follow along with the planned activities or you can just work on your own projects and join the conversation. Hang out for an hour or two or stay for the whole thing!
When: June 21, 2023, 8am CDT until….???
What: The Longest Day Art Journaling Marathon
Where: Zoom link provided to everyone that signs up via email below (It is free to join the marathon, but if you can make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, I’d be forever grateful)
Who: Anyone, but Zoom limit is 100 people
Supplies Needed
Use what you have. Your hosts will be using basic art journaling supplies and will share ideas for substitutes if you don’t have exactly what they have. More information will be shared in the emails about the hangout.
Suzanne,
I recently listened to your podcast with Wendy Solganik. Your answers touched my heart and my art in so many ways. I feel like we could be sisters… though that is probably true of many among us who have similar creative ways and winding paths in life.
Thank you for all you do and who you are!
Looking forward to the Marathon~
