Suzanne
Suzanne is a multi-passionate artist who lives in Eastern Iowa with her husband. She has two adult children (who happen to be twins).
Professionally, she has been a multi-talented wizard (aka school secretary), longarm machine quilter, stay-at-home mom, bank technology manager, computer network installer, t-shirt seller, and library page. (She shelved returned library books in high school. Favorite job ever.)
Meet the Team
Hobbes
Hobbes is an orange tiger that was saved from Suzanne’s cousin’s barn when he was abandoned by his mom at around 3 weeks. She bottle-fed him and while he tolerates his family, he despises all other humans.
He may be cute, but he will bite you.
Sally
Sally is a small house panther that was adopted from a shelter in 2020. Her loving personality couldn’t be more different from Hobbes. She requires daily belly rubs and has not yet met a stranger. She worships Hobbes and while he won’t admit, he’s pretty taken with her, too.
She and Hobbes are absolutely useless as coworkers.
Sammy
Sammy is the new intern. He was found in a machine shed in late September 2022 when my husband was looking for a grease gun. We hoped his mama would come back, but after 24 hours decided to intervene. Like Hobbes, he was about 3 weeks-ish when we rescued him. He spends his days playing, eating, sleeping, and pestering Sally. Hobbes is uninterested in him, for the most part.
As with the other two, he’s not actually helpful, but he’s ridiculously cute so we let it pass.
